MUNIFICENT MUNNAR

MUNIFICENT MUNNAR

Munnar in both Tamil and Malayalam means  ‘three rivers’ as Madhurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly are three rivers that flow through the town. Munnar is a beautiful hill station, and was a summer resort for the British during the British Raj. Straggling tea plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji, the flower which blooms once in every twelve years.
