Best Time to Visit Himachal? This places can be visited anytime of the year depending upon like and what kind of tour you are looking for.

Summer :- During this season of the year, the state is thronged by many tourists and honeymooners. Honeymoon couples may find this place overcrowded. This is the busiest period for Himachal Pradesh with all trains and flights heading towards the state. When to visit: from month of March to June
Ideal for: kayaking, white water rafting, trekking, camping, hot air ballooning and paragliding

Monsoon - Generally people avoid visiting Himachal Pradesh during monsoon season because of unexpected rain fall and landslides. Therefore the trains and flights are comparatively economical. However, it is generally advised to check for native climate conditions before visiting the place in Himachal Pradesh specifically during monsoon season. Since this is not a favorable time for many tourists, the rates of hotels generally come down to 50 percent and many hotels display off-season deductions.

Avoid: if one doesn’t like to get struck with the frequent landslides.
How to reach:- There are three main airports in Himachal at Jabbarhatti near Shimla, Gaggal near Kangra and Bhuntar near Kullu. However many of guest get down to Chandigarh airport or Amritsar airport to start their journey since Shimla is just 3 hrs drive from Chandigarh and Dallhouise is 3 hrs drive from Amristar.
How to reach Himachal?

Being a hilly state and with difficult terrain, it is not connected by trains except for two narrow gauge rail lines between Kalka - Shimla and Pathankot - Joginder Nagar. Since major railway stations in Himachal is not well connected with metro cities, you can also opt to get down to Amristar or Chandigarh railway station.
How to get there by Road?
The most popular way to travel into the state is by road – either by bus, taxi or your own set of wheels, rented or private. Three National Highways criss-cross Himachal Pradesh. National Highway- 20 enters Himachal through Pathankot, which connect Nurpur, Dharamshala, Palampur, Joginder Nagar and ends at Mandi. NH-21 begins at Chandigarh and goes upto Leh via Bilaspur, Mandi and Kullu Manali. National Highway- 22 starts from Ambala and goes upto Kinnaur via Solan, Shimla, Narkanda and Rampur.
Places to see in Himachal?
Shimla – Shimla the summer Capital of the British in India. Situated in the lower ranges of the Himalayan Mountains, it is surrounded by pine deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. Towards the north lie the snow-covered high-ranges, while the valleys breathe whispering streams and swaying fields. Within the town are host of splendid colonial edifices, quaint cottages and charming walks. Shimla offers a variety of shopping, sport and entertainment activities. Places to see in Shimla are Khajjiar, JAKHOO HILL (2.5 km), and STATE MUSEUM etc.

Manali – Must see place in Himachal for honeymooners and adventurous travelers. Manali gives an excellent view of snow capped mountain & pine trees you can do adventurous activities like river rafting, short fly, Paragliding and skiing. Places to see in Manali are HADIMBA TEMPLE, VASHISTH, Rohtang Pass, Solang valley you can also do an excursion of Kullu valley and Manikaran.
Dharmshala- Dharmsala has everything for a perfect holiday. It is full of life and yet peaceful. The headquarters of his holiness the Dalai Lama. It is close to Pathankot the nearest railway station approx 85 kms. Places to see in Dharmshala is KANGRA ART MUSEUM, KOTWALI BAZAR, MCLEODGANJ, Dalai Lama Temple & Dharmshala cricket statdium.
Dalhouise - Dalhousie has charming colonial architecture, including some beautiful churches. Its location presents panoramic views of the plains and like a long silver line, the river Ravi twists and turns below Dalhousie. The spectacular snow-covered Dhauladhar Mountains are also visible from this enchanting town. Places to see is Dalhousie are Churches, Khajjiar often called as India's Switzerland, Chamba Lake.
Chandigarh – Chandigarh also known as Hub of North India Tourism because of easy connectivity to Himachal like Shimla is 4 hrs drive. It has airport and railway stations. Chandigarh itself has many places to see like Leisure valley, Rock garden, Sukhna Lake and many more
